This web site of lessons and ideas for "The First Colors" story is designed to be accessed by both students and teachers, and most of the pages on the site will start with language accessible to all (children and adults), with a section at the end targeted for teachers and adults. The first sections of each page are designed to be read by children, but they also have a value for teachers. You can look at these sections as scripts for lessons (which you can then adapt and put into your own words). The second sections of each page, called "Teacher's Notes", will describe lesson ideas and provide a sense of how the individual page fits into an overall sequence of lessons. We make an attempt to provide content and lessons that are appropriate to the broadest possible range of ages of elementary school students. As the teacher of a specific grade, you can of course tweak, adapt and expand upon the information to make it fit your students developmental level more precisely. The pages in the site are organized in a sequence, symbolized by a journey of footprints. We hope that this sequence will prove valuable, with each step laying groundwork for the next. You can also feel free to skip around choose the lessons and sequence that works best for you. PRINTING LESSONS: COMMENTS: |
